What do you believe is the purpose of a college education?
In my opinion I believe that the purpose of a college education is to further one’s education and to broaden their horizons for the future. I think the purpose of a college education is to open people up for opportunities that they might not have otherwise and help them be prepared when those opportunities come.
What does it mean to be educated?
In my opinion being educated means that you furthered your education after high school and obtained a degree from a university. I do believe that people who have not attended college can be smarter than people who are educated but in my opinion that is their intelligence and not them being educated.
What experiences have you had with education that led you to this belief?
My whole life I have grown up with my parents telling me that in order to be successful I would have to go to college. Also, all throughout grade school my teachers have always told me that it is my job to prepare you for your future and I always thought that my future was college which woulf then lead to me being educated.
